Description
On a midsummer day I lay me down beneath the tall oak trees to write thee a love poem. They grow and grow and form a canopy over me, shielding me from the burning rays of the sun.

To be surrounded by shade from stately trees like this is something I have always loved, Deborah. In Omaha, Nebraska as a little boy, there were trees on both sides of our street that formed what I called "tree tunnels" that totally shaded us kids from the hot summer sun. They always sounded so cool with a breeze flowing through them. In fall, the colors would dazzle us and soon fill our yard with leaves to play in. Some folks would rake them up into a pile and burn them and the smell in winter cold air was unforgettable!..........FAV/ LIKE

Tree tunnels are awesome, Jerry! And I remember the smell of burning leaves from when I was a kid. It's unlawful now to burn leaves here.
