Description
While hiking though the woods one day on Long Island, we came across this very old rusty car. Looked for any signs of what make it could have been, but nothing. Can you tell what make this old car was?

Awesome, it's nice to see another female photographer taking this kind of pictures.

Why, thank you so much, Michelle! I guess one could say that I am in touch with my masculine side! ; )

What an amazing discovery, Deborah. I feel the tale may be a woeful one too. Hey Janet You are like a real Car detective! The close ups are telling too! A beautiful Image with hidden stories and Great Investigative Team Work BY two Stunning Artists! I Like It!
Deborah A Andreas replied:
Well, thank you so very much, Brian! Janet is indeed a great picture/ car detective! And yes, the more I look at the photos of this old car, the more I see tell tale signs of a very woeful story. A car left to rot doesn't just come apart!

I didn’t realize that you shot various pictures of this 1950 Dodge Coronet, 4-door sedan. It may have been in bad shape if it was a car driven where it snowed. Lots of rust damage to the body and under carriage. Then finishing it off as it was abandoned here, left for dead, as your title implies. It’s a great find and an unknown story to tell. Someone out there knows this car and its story. After seeing this model on the internet link I shared with you, helps to envision what it once was. Seeing the car from this angle really helps to see the model that I saw on that website. I am amazed at how either the front bench seat or the rear, is standing on end, with its rusted out springs exposed. That’s really getting to the skeleton of things. Thank you for sharing it with us, Deborah. LF Janet 💕
Deborah A Andreas replied:
Janet, thank you so much for the research you did on this old rusty gem! I got the pics from the link that you sent me. It was a good looking car back in its' day with white wall tires and 3-speed on the column. And now I can make out the letters over the radio that spell out D O D G E !
